Housekeeping Department:
Housekeeping staff are responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and overall orderliness in a hotel, resort, or any hospitality environment. Their duties include:
- Cleaning and sanitizing guest rooms, public areas, and hallways
- Changing bed linens, towels, and toiletries
- Dusting, vacuuming, and mopping floors
- Reporting any maintenance issues or lost items to the management
- Ensuring a comfortable and clean environment for guests
Common Positions:
- Room Attendant – Cleans guest rooms and ensures a welcoming ambiance
- Housemen – Supports housekeeping staff by moving linens, trash, and cleaning supplies
- Housekeeping Supervisor – Oversees housekeeping staff, ensuring high standards are met
- HSK Coordinator – Manages scheduling, supplies, and reports for the housekeeping department
Laundry Department:
The laundry team ensures that all linens, uniforms, and guest clothing (if applicable) are properly cleaned, pressed, and presented. Their tasks include:
- Washing, drying, and ironing linens, towels, and uniforms
- Sorting laundry by fabric type and washing requirements
- Maintaining laundry equipment and following safety protocols
- Ensuring timely delivery of clean laundry to respective departments
Common Positions:
- Laundry Attendant – Handles washing, drying, ironing, and folding of linens
- Shift Engineer (Laundry) – Maintains laundry machinery and operations
- Laundry Supervisor – Oversees laundry operations, ensuring efficiency and quality
